Gear Material is used to level up gear. It is obtained by shattering gear pieces. Gear Material is required to level up a piece of gear, the cost of leveling gear is shown in the table below. The amount gained by shattering a piece of gear is always the same as the level of the gear times 20 (e.g. a level 5 gear will yield 100 gear material), but the cost to level it grows exponentially, making it extremely costly at higher levels.
