Hero level is one of the base factors that determine the "base" health and damage stats of a hero (the other factors being star rating and the specific hero in question). Fighting in matches (using Sim Chips do not work), going on Operations, and using Xp Capsules can increase the experience of a hero, and, if sufficient experience is gained, they will advance a level.

What exactly determines a stat growth is a Hero's unmodified "level 0" stats, which aren't directly observable as heroes aren't obtained at level 0, but at level 1. These stats can be inferred though even if not directly observed. With each level gain, a hero gains 10% of its level 0 stats. At a card's default level 1 state, its base stats are actually "'level 0' + '1 growth'".

As the game masks decimals, level 0 stats are not best determined by looking at a character's unmodified level 1 stats and multiplying by 10/11; rather, the best way to determine them is to take the unmodified level 10/20/30/so on stats and multiply them by 10/20, 10/30, or 10/40 (or so on), respectively, as these levels being clean multipliers minimize the effects of hidden decimals. (Some heroes like Robin actually have a decimal base stat amount, his level 0 damage being 67.5.)

The unmodified damage and health of any hero at any level and rarity can be determined and/or predicted with this formula:

  • Nstat * ([10+Level] / [10+N]) = Lstat , where N is a level divisible by 10 and Nstat is the unmodified health or damage at that level, and Lstat is the unmodified stat at the new level.

A slightly modified formula can predict any unmodified stat at the same or any other star rating (if anyone has a 4* Mythic Wonder Woman they could help confirm this by simply here typing her unmodified stats at any level N [type], though this definitely tracks for Silver heroes):

  • ([{Drar+1} * .5] / [{Nrar +1} *.5]) * N-stat * ([10+Level] / [10+N]) = D-R/Lstat , where Drar is the "desired rating" to be calculated and Nrar is the current one, with D-R/Lstat being the stat at the desired rarity and level.
